Jessica Jones

If anyone hasn't watched Netflix's new original series Jessica Jones, then what are you waiting for? (No spoilers I promise!)

I watched the entire series with some friends over 3 days and I have to say its one of the best TV shows I have seen in a while. Totally addictive. If you enjoyed Marvel's Daredevil series, it will definitely impress.

As Netflix promises 'The World will know her name' and trust me you won't forget it in a hurry.

Great casting with Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, a girl with super strength and super sass, but with a troubled and darkened past. David Tennant plays Kilgrave (known as the Purple Man in the comics) a sociopath with the power of mind control. Also starring Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker and Mike Colter as Luke Cage.

As Marvel takes steps down a darker path,  it is refreshing to have a strong female hero as the lead character. Jessica Jones isn't a typical tight wearing flashy superhero. She is real. Her character is hard drinking, mysterious and funny as well. Even if you are not a big fan of Superhero movies or you're team DC, give it watch, its worth it!

Just like in Daredevil, Jessica Jones takes place in Hell's Kitchen in New York and is littered with Marvel references that fans will appreciate (I know I did!) From subtle comic book hints to full on mentioning the Avengers, this is a must for Marvel fans.

This fresh look on Marvel's superheroes through Netflix originals is something us comic book geeks can appreciate. Superheroes keep coming, with today's release of Captain America: Civil War Trailer (which by the way - WOW) and news everyday surrounding next year's explosive movie releases.

Keep em coming Netflix.
