As a massive Batman and DC fan, I'm just hoping the movie surprises everyone. All over the internet people have been criticizing 'Batfleck' (the way they did with Heath Ledger) and the entire concept of Batman VS Superman.
I mean, we all know they 'can't' be enemies (how else will the Justice League form?) but they have to start somewhere, and personally I think the concept of two of the most iconic superheroes fighting one another is pretty exciting...
Not only that we get to see Lex Luthor in action and Wonder Woman finally gets to feature in a live action movie! Fans are even given a glimpse of Robin's suit in the Bat cave, sprayed with the words 'Jokes on you Batman' - proving the narrative will run along with events in the comics and have a link with Suicide Squad (set to release in August).
The teaser clip showed Superman being pretty bad-ass, but Batman?
This scene is obviously when he 'goes to war' as Alfred says in the trailer, so as usual Batman seems beaten but will most likely 'get back up again' as he always does. I don't know whether Superman already knows (spoiler alert) that Bruce Wayne is Batman, but tearing off his mask almost strips Batman of identity, leaving him a mortal man helpless in front of an all powerful alien being.
It does invite a lot of questions, like how the hell is Batman meant to defeat Superman unless he has kryptonite in his utility belt? Judging from the full length trailer (link also below), this is more a battle of morals and justice. Both our heroes have similar intentions, but both provoke controversy in the DC Universe.
